This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 829
When I was a college student in the late '70s, Cheap Trick seemed to be the only rock 'n' roll band that just about everyone liked, and for all the right reasons. Cheap Trick put on a greatest-hits show in Syracuse on Saturday night, a live show uniting the sometimes disparate tastes of my wife, my daughter, and me, and prompting all of us to respond with raised fists and raised voices, "We're all all right, we're all all right, we're all all right!" Cheap Trick was originally planned as our Featured Artist on this week's TIRnRR, but dem ole debbil gremlins said otherwise (and also scotched plans for new music from Laurie Biagini, and new music from Stepford Knives and Jamie Hoover). Damn gremlins. Nonetheless, the evidence below proves that Dana was still able to slap together another fine example of The Best Three Hours Of Radio On The Whole Friggin' Planet. This is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.
This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl streams live every Sunday night from 9 to Midnight Eastern, exclusively at www.westcottradio.org
