This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 877
Someday we will mourn no more forever. Someday. Until that day comes, we pause to remember Tim Marks, a listener from Michigan who left this mortal world behind after a long illness. Our first set this week was dedicated to Tim, and we wish our best to his friends and family...our friends and family. Kick out the jams, brothers and sisters. Homeward bound. Someday.
As always, giddy remains what we do best, perhaps the only thing we do well at all. We served the giddy with new music from Richard Turgeon, and a bunch of tracks from our forthcoming compilation album This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 4, including "The Weekend's Coming" (a terrific new collaboration by Vegas With Randolph Featuring Lannie Flowers) and "Make Something Happen" (The Slapbacks covering The Flashcubes). We wished a Happy Birthday to Sir Paul McCartney, and wished for safe travels for all of our listeners. We wish that sooner than someday. This is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.
This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl streams on Sunday night from 9 to Midnight Eastern, exclusively at www.westcottradio.org
