FATMAN The Human Flying Saucer # 2
Following last week's post of Fatman, The Human Flying Saucer # 1, Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) is proud to present the Corpulent Crusader's second issue, also from 1967. Fatman, created and executed by original Captain Marvel veterans Otto Binder and C.C. Beck, was Binder and Beck's only collaboration after Captain Marvel flew off to that great Whiz Comics in the sky in the mid '50s. Beck returned briefly to Cap when former rival DC Comics revived The World's Mightiest Mortal in the pages of Shazam! in 1973; Binder did not participate.
As for Fatman # 2...say, that Awesome Foursome looks awfully familiar. Captain Marvel doppelganger, meet Marvel Comics doppelgangers. Captain, Marvel. Marvel, Captain. 'Nuff said.
Now, to borrow a phrase from another legendary hero, return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear. FATMAN FLIES AGAIN!
