July's Private Post For Patrons
Once a month, Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) takes a day off from public posts. That's the day my subscribers receive their monthly private post, a post which is not seen by the public until at least one month after it's been distributed to paid patrons. This month's private post is the debut of a new series called The Other Side Of The Hit (B-Side Appreciation), which will offer essays about the flip of the 45, about B-sides I have loved. The pilot installment of The Other Side Of The Hit discusses Yoko Ono's "Kiss Kiss Kiss," the B-side of John Lennon's 1980 "(Just Like) Starting Over." It will probably post publicly in August; if you'd like to see my private posts before they become public posts, it only costs $2 a month, billed monthly. Fund me, baby! Regular public posting will resume tomorrow.
