This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 917
As I begin to write this, we're less than an hour into the show. We don't yet know much of what the rest of the show will bring; it's often that way, probably more often than not. We may have a vague notion of some of the tracks we want to play, but what will actually wind up on the playlist remains to be seen and heard. I'm committed to playing new music from The Gold Needles, Damian Whitehead, and Chris Richards & the Subtractions. The rest? We'll find out soon enough. You, my friends, can find out right now by casting your glance below. From our perspective: this is how you do great radio. We can prove it.
NEXT WEEK: A LOVE LETTER TO RADIO! Yeah, this might require a bit more planning than usual. But not too much planning! Dana's off on assignment next week, so to make up for his absence, we're gonna need to slap together something EPIC. I've got it covered. I'm going to play a bunch of great records that radio taught me, then-new records I first heard when the radio played 'em for me some time over the past 54 years or so. Tune in next week for a three-hour LOVE LETTER TO RADIO! And this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.
This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl, Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse on Spark WSPJ-LP 103.3 and 93.7, and on the web at http://sparksyracuse.org/
