Blackout Tuesday
On Tuesday, June 2nd, the music industry is observing Blackout Tuesday in memory of George Floyd, the black man murdered by Minneapolis police officers last week. It would be a large stretch to think of this blog as part of the music industry, but I'm honoring the pause nonetheless. It's symbolic, it doesn't do anyone any good, but I'll be damned if I'm going to violate it. A man died at the hands of officers of the law; if George Floyd had been a white man, he'd be alive right now.
Black lives matter.
