This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 1241

Big thanks to Bill Kelly, mighty host of the way-fab Bill Kelly's Blackhole Bandstand every Saturday night on SiriusXM's Underground Garage channel. On last week's Blackhole Bandstand, our Bill gave a shout-out to my new book The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1). I felt like a big shot! Bill's show is always superb, and it shares a lot of rockin' pop inspiration with whatever the hell it is that compels Dana and I to do This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio. HuzZAH!

We kind of returned the favor to Bill on our show this week, with a spin of HIS pick for The Greatest Record Ever Made, "Liar, Liar" by the Castaways. (I did, in fact, write a chapter about "Liar, Liar" for the book, but it wound among chapters deferred to a hypothetical GREM! Volume 2. You can nonetheless read that chapter right here, right now.)

And it's no lie: There are a lot of magnificent rockin' pop radio programs out there. Bill Kelly's show is among the best. Here's our own hardly-humble effort for this week. This is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on another Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl airs Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK! WSPJ 103.3 and 93.7 FM, streaming at SPARK stream, and on the Radio Garden app as WESTCOTT RADIO. Recent shows are archived at Westcott Radio
