COMIC BOOK COVER GALLERY: some '60s, '70s, and '80s # 1 Issues I purchased when they were still new

It's been a little while since we've done a gallery of comic book covers here. The last one was a spotlight on comic books I acquired on vacations, which posted in January. I have a number of other themes I want to get to, so let's pick up with a fresh gallery of a few of the many presumed collectors' item! # 1 issues that I picked up when they were new. 

NUMBER ONES! Sticking strictly to comics published and purchased in the '60s, '70s, and '80s, eschewing both back issues and coverless contraband bought after the fact, and avoiding duplication with the most recent gallery--apologies to Captain Action, Marvel Feature, The Shadow, and DC Special--here are the covers to a few of the debut issues I plucked from the spinner rack or retail shelf roughly contemporary to their release. 

And no, these aren't actual photos of comics in my collection. But I did have each and every one of 'em at some point in time.
