This is my July 17th, 2024 appearance on the Syracuse TV talk show Bridge Street, discussing my then-new book The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1).
GREM! is my second book, following 2023's Gabba Gabba Hey! A Conversation With The Ramones. The GREM! book was dedicated to the notion that an infinite number of tracks can each be THE greatest record ever made, as long as they take turns. Any passionate music fan will have dozens (if not hundreds) of worthy songs in mind, and writing this book gave me an opportunity to immerse myself in how much I love pop music, especially rock 'n' roll. Somewhere in the process of creating the book, I realized it was my life story disguised as a collection of essays about 145 individual records.
As fans, we live inside the grooves of the music we love. This book is my rock 'n' roll love letter to those grooves, that sound, that feeling, that infinite thrill.
