Once a month, Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) veers off from its clinically dumbass commitment to daily public posting, and instead preps a private post solely for its cherished paid supporters.

This month's private post for patrons is "THE EVERLASTING FIRST: My introductory songs to a number of acts." It's a looooong list of some of the tracks that served as my introductions to various individual recording acts. My first Supremes track! My first Chocolate Watchband track! My first Bruce Springsteen, Joan Armatrading, Ramones, Fanny, Sex Pistols, Drifters, Sam Cooke, Bow Wow Wow, Flamin' Groovies, et al. Even my first Herb Alpert track, which did not come from the LP pictured above.
