Having already done lists of TV series I've watched in their entirety and TV shows I've never seen, we follow with a list of various TV shows I used to watch with some regularity. I'm excluding series I only watched in reruns (apologies to Big Valley, Car 54 Where Are You?, and The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis), and trying to avoid shows already listed in the seen-in-their-entirety category.
It winds up being a random list, and it has no pretense of being a comprehensive list. I wanted to favor relative obscurities, but I also didn't see a reason to ignore more well-known series (though I could add a fair number more of those). The 1965-66 sitcom The Smothers Brothers Show merits a special shout-out as partial inspiration for Bobby's Angel, the fictional 1965 sitcom I created for my novel-in-progress Meet The Frantiks!
Whether a forgotten obscurity or something many remember (whether with fondness or, y'know, not fondness), each of these was appointment TV for me at some point in my past.; Don't touch that dial! The show's about to start.
