This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 1342

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about our wonderful experience of witnessing a live performance by Vicki Peterson and John Cowsill. We were so knocked out by the pure delight of that evening that we simply had to make Vicki and John our Featured Performers this week.

The welcome result is detailed below. Our celebration of Vicki and John's work, both together and separately, occupies roughly half of this week's playlist, including three tracks from their fascinating 2025 album Long After The Fire and varied treats by the Bangles, the Cowsills, the Beach Boys, Continental Drifters, John Cowsill, Vicki and Debbie Peterson, the Psycho Sisters, Tommy Tutone, Susan Cowsill, Action Skulls, Dwight Twilley, the Smithereens, the Bangs, and Vicki Peterson with John Cowsill and Jonny Polonsky (covering the Ramones!). Time well spent! We tried to surround Vicki and John with an array of compatible simpaticos by everyone from the Knackthe Last, and Green On Red to Squeeze, the Recordsthe Searchers and the Beatles.

Sound on sound. This is a radio show. Thanks for the great music, Vicki and John. Please don't be shy about making more of it. And this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on another Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl airs Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK! WSPJ 103.3 and 93.7 FM, streaming at SPARK stream, and on the Radio Garden app as WESTCOTT RADIO
