This Is Rock 'n'Roll Radio # 897

This week's active exercise in The Best Thee Hours Of Radio On The Whole Friggin' Planet included brand new music from Johnny Magus, a long-time TIRnRR Fave Rave with Uptight, The Ace, and Freebooting Profiteers. Jonny's latest nom du bop is Jonny Magus & the Bursting Bubbles, and it is for sure music to make ya wanna jump 'n' down with manic abandon. Also new this week was Hit The Hay, Vol. 9, the latest essential rockin' pop compilation from Jerker Emanuelson's fab Sound Asleep Records. With that kind of foundation, we could do no wrong!

We also revealed the heretofore top-secret identities of THE MAGNIFICENT SIX, the six Featured Acts who will take over the entirety of next week's show. Yes! Next week's show will be all about The Easybeats, Circe Link, The Jam, The Spinners, The Clash, and Cocktail Slippers, and we hope you'll join us for that particular blowout. For now, this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl, Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse on The Spark WSPJ-LP 103.3 and 93.7, and on the web at http://sparksyracuse.org/
