This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 989: The Eighth Annual DANA'S FUNKY SOUL PIT

Once a year, Dana assumes sole control of the playlist for an amazing annual shindig we call DANA'S FUNKY SOUL PIT! The first one was in the summer of 2012, a year when we were bringin' in Guest Programmers left 'n' right. Amidst all these guests, we figured we should also each do our own show, too. Dana's choice commenced with a spin of Parliament's "Tear The Roof Off The Sucker (Give Up The Funk)," as DANA'S FUNKY SOUL PIT willed itself into its first incarnation on July 1st, 2012. It became a welcome TIRnRR tradition, and the 2019 show is the eighth annual DANA'S FUNKY SOUL PIT. Our listeners look forward to it, Dana looks forward to it, I look forward to it, and we're gonna keep on doing it every year, for as long as there is a TIRnRR.
