This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio# 1169

So much going on, all at once.

My first book, Gabba Gabba Hey! A Conversation With The Ramones, is now set for early May publication from Rare Bird Books. You can preorder your copy right here, and I pray that you do. It's the realization of a lifelong dream, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I recently completed my liner notes for a fantastic new album by...I can't tell you that yet. But I will be talkin' it up at the appropriate time. You can bet on that.

And right now, Dana and I are set to appear with America's Sweetheart Irene Peña next Sunday, February 26th, on her Twitch channel Irene Peña Music. We'll get started around 7 pm Eastern (right after Radio Deer Camp with Rich Firestone right here on SPARK!), and we'll be chatting with Irene about the show and whatever else she feels like chatting about. It's HER show! Not counting our appearance at the Syracuse Area Music Awards last year, this is the first live event that Dana and I have done together since 2020. You know, 2020? Yeah, that year. Let's hope to all that jangles we've remembered how to ad lib. And we hope you'll join Dana & Carl with Irene Peña on February 26th at 7 pm Eastern.

The weekly radio shows are no less important. All of the above, even my book, stems from Dana and I doing whatever it is we do on This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio. None of the rest happens for us without TIRnRR.

So, there's a lot going on.

We wouldn't have it any other way.

Best three hours of radio on the whole friggin' planet? Here ya go. This is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on another Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

This show is available as a podcast.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl airs Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK! WSPJ 103.3 and 93.7 FM, streaming at SPARK stream, and on the Radio Garden app as WESTCOTT RADIO. Recent shows are archived at Westcott Radio
