THE GREATEST RECORD EVER MADE! (VOLUME 1): A Very Slight Tweak

In a recent post I mentioned that I was considering a slight tweak to the Table of Contents for my long-threatened book The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1). I have decided to make that change, at least for now.

The tweak is just a one-song swap, subbing in a chapter about the Byrds' "Eight Miles High," removing another song's entry, and then moving the Byrds piece to the spot where it fits best. The excised chapter didn't feel strong enough in context; it may fit better in the even-more-hypothetical GREM! Volume 2, maybe with revisions, or maybe as-is.

This change is too minor to bother with another full-on update of the book's status, so we're keeping the previous update as our go-to GREM! reference point. I have amended the previous update to reflect the change.

An infinite number of tracks can each be THE greatest record ever made, as long as they take turns. The updated Table of Contents for The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1) appears below.

Can one book (specifically, a Ramones book) lead to another? Just waiting my turn, man. Just waiting my turn.
