Fake THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO Playlist: A Second Version Of Our 1000th Show

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl is simply too large a concept to be neatly contained within a mere three-hour weekly time slot. Hence these occasional fake TIRnRR playlists, detailing shows we're never really going to do...but could.

Three hours a week is simply not enough time for Dana and I to play all of the songs we want to play. This is true each week for our regular shows, and it is especially true for theme shows. It is most especially true for milestone shows.

We did our 1000th show this past Sunday. And again, three hours wasn't nearly sufficient to fit in any acceptable percentage of the stuff we wanted to play. We even cheated by starting the celebration a week early on our 999th show, and that combined six-hour 100th-show extravaganza still left us with stacks 'n' stacks of unplayed tracks.

So let's at least make it a nine-hour extravaganza, albeit unofficially. Today's fake TIRnRR playlist consists of tracks we were ready to play on our 1000th show, but our old enemy time caught up with us instead, leaving these all in search of a 1000th show playlist to call home. Close your eyes. We're playing 'em all now.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl--y'know, the real one--plays Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse on The Spark WSPJ-LP 103.3 and 93.7 FM, and on the web at http://sparksyracuse.org/
