This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 872

We can do The Best Three Hours Of Radio in just TWO hours--it's our super power! It helps when we have a higher purpose. We devoted our first hour to Ken Sharp's latest irresistible power pop history book Play On! Power Pop Heroes Volume 4 (available right now from Pop Geek Heaven). We found time for new music from DM3, The Bayonets, Brenyama, Orbis Max, and The Rubilators, plus a track from the recent compilation Sweet Relief Volume 4. And we closed with a bunch o' irresistibles from our own forthcoming Kool Kat Musik compilation CD, This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 4Pop Co-Op, The Rubinoos, The Legal Matters, The Rulers, Lisa Mychols, Mr. Encrypto & the Cyphers, Michael Oliver & the Sacred Band, Popdudes, Circe Link & Christian Nesmith, and The Bottle Kids. Three hours in two hours? Yep. No problem.

NEXT WEEK: The FIRESTONE Invasion! The one 'n' only Rich Firestone takes over the whole shebang, aided 'n' abetted by lovely wife Kathy and lovely Corgi Harry, proving once and for all that no one really needs Dana & Carl. Luckily, we're the only ones who know the access codes. Don't miss this one next week! Meanwhile, this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a truncated Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl streams live on Sunday nights from 9 to (usually) Midnight Eastern, exclusively at www.westcottradio.org
