CHAOS AT THE COPPERHEAD CLUB: My Punk Rock Girl COPPER Crashes Into Comic Book Stores

My short story "Chaos At The Copperhead Club" will be published in the AHOY Comics title Second Coming: Only Begotten Son # 6. This is the latest adventure set in the continuity of my previous stories "The Last Ride Of The Copperhead Kid," "The Copperhead Strikes!," and "The Copperhead Affair." Those stories were about an Old West gunslinger, a 1930s masked vigilante, and a 1960s secret agent respectively; "Chaos At The Copperhead Club" moves the timeline to the summer of 1983, with a girl named Copper who plays bass in a punk band. Copper doesn't like bullies.

Second Coming: Only Begotten Son # 6 has a publication date of October 13th. But my contributor's copies arrived in Monday's mail, so it's possible it will hit comic book shops this Wednesday rather than next. Either way, you can check Comic Shop Locator to find a comics vendor near you. I recommend you a) call ahead to see if the shop carries AHOY Comics books (as they should!), and b) if they have Second Coming: Only Begotten Son # 6 in stock. Most stores that don't stock it will order it for you.

"Chaos At The Copperhead Club" is my sixth AHOY Comics short story sale from 2019 to date, and the fifth one published (the four Copperhead chronicles, plus "Guitars Vs. Rayguns"). A story called "The Picture Of Amontillado" was purchased by AHOY, but has not yet seen print. Another story, "Pop Friction," has been submitted and is currently under consideration.

There will be also more Copperheads to come, I betcha. In the mean time, you can read about the teen bass player Copper, who is now on her way to a comics store near you.
