This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 1107

Thank you for the days

Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me
I'm thinking of the days
I won't forget a single day, believe me

Listen, the snow is falling over town
Listen, the snow is falling everywhere

And he thought he heard the echoes of a penny-whistle band
And the laughter from a distant caravan
And the brightly-painted line of circus wagons in the sand
Fading through the door into summer

When I'm lying in my bed at night
I don't want to grow up
Nothing ever seems to turn out right
And I don't want to grow up

Swing low, chariot, come down easy
Taxi to the terminal zone
Cut your engine and cool your wings
And let me make it to the telephone

Everybody is a star
I can feel it when you shine on me
I love you for who you are
Not the one you feel you need to be

And now we've reached December
And it's been so disappointing
And we're glad this sorry year's about to end
But in just a little while
We'll be back in January
And you know we're gonna start it all again
And we'll say
"This year's gonna be our year!"

Our shows are prerecorded. But I knew of some things that were coming when we programmed it and recorded it. Catharsis? Comfort. I thank you for the days.
