This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 1235: 5/26/2024 FRITZ!

Been meaning to do this one for years.

This week's programming draws exclusively from a list of our friend and intrepid TIRnRR stats man Fritz Van Leaven's 100 all-time favorite individual tracks. Fritz updates his list every year at the end of May, so we used last year's list to compile the rockin' pop extravaganza detailed below.

(Or rather, we WOULD have used last year's list; I didn't realize until after the show was done that I grabbed Fritz's 2022 tally instead. Listen: Our hearts are in the right place, even if my head ain't. And for our encore, we played a few tracks featuring Fritz on bass, including his lead vocal with the Trees on a cover of Men At Work's "Be Good Johnny.")

Surprise, Fritz! Thanks for all you do to maintain whatever the hell this little mutant radio show is supposed to be. Let's celebrate that with some songs we know you like. And this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on another Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl airs Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK! WSPJ 103.3 and 93.7 FM, streaming at SPARK stream, and on the Radio Garden app as WESTCOTT RADIO. Recent shows are archived at Westcott Radio
