BOPPIN's Monthly Day Off

Once a month, Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) takes a break from daily posting just long enough to share a private post with subscribers. This month's private post is a sneak peek at the beginning of Singers, Superheroes, And Songs On The Radio: My Life In Pop Culture--The '70s, a long look back at my Me Decade and the records and comic books that got me through my adolescence and teens. You can become a patron of this blog for just $2 a month

Daily posting will resume tomorrow with the debut of a new feature called Guilt-Free Pleasures (A Defense Against The Dark Arts). Here's the boilerplate intro for that:

There is really no such thing as a guilty pleasure in pop music. Unless you happen to love neo-Nazi ditties or glorifications of hatred or violence, I'd say it's okay for you to dig whatever you wanna dig. Yes, even the hits of The Eagles. Why? BECAUSE THEY'RE POP SONGS! Guilt-Free Pleasures (A Defense Against The Dark Arts) celebrates pop songs. The guilty need not apply.

Court will commence its first session on Saturday. SPOILER ALERT: The verdict is always gonna be not guilty.
