POP-A-LOOZA! THE GREATEST RECORD EVER MADE: First Aid Kit, "America"

Each week, the pop culture website Pop-A-Looza shares some posts from my vast 'n' captivating Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) archives. The latest shared post is another chapter from my proposed book The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1), this time celebrating "America" by First Aid Kit.

WARNING: the piece contains political content.

I'm a liberal Democrat, and proud of it. Middle age has not moved me to the right as of yet. I don't do a lot of politics on my blog, but I don't shy away from the subject. On this frustrating, nerve-wracking day, here are a few instances when I embraced it:

What Now? (The Dreaded, Inevitable Political Post)

Voting Rites (A Tale Of Elections Past)

What Impeachment Means To Me

As we try to move forward, we celebrate this land we love. Yeah, even though I'm terribly disappointed in it right now. Today, "America" by First Aid Kit takes its turn among the infinite as The Greatest Record Ever Made!, and it's the latest Boppin' Pop-A-Looza.
