Each week, the pop culture website Pop-A-Looza shares some posts from my vast 'n' captivating Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) archives. The latest shared post is a tale of finally attempting to downsize my large accumulation of books by at least a smidge: "Quarantine Clean: A (Slightly) Shorter Stack Of Books."
I am well aware of the advice that we should unclutter our lives, that we should discard anything and everything that does not specifically bring us joy. The thing is, as I say in the piece linked above, surrounding myself with books does bring me joy. But space is finite. Life is finite. I know I can't keep hoarding forever.
Just, y'know...maybe for a little while longer? I still wanna read that Lone Ranger novel I bought in 1975. It survived the cut. Many others did not. That quarantine clean is the subject of the latest Boppin' Pop-A-Looza.
