POP-A-LOOZA: Paperback Cover Cavalcade # 1

Each week, the pop culture website Pop-A-Looza shares some posts from my vast 'n' captivating Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) archives. The latest shared post is an annotated gallery of covers from five books in my sprawling collection o' pulp: Paperback Cover Cavalcade # 1.

With this, Pop-A-Looza has now reprised all of my single-format Cavalcades, covering paperback covers, comic book covers, LP covers, and a couple of hybrids. Links to each appear below, along with links to some other pulp-related Boppin' Pop-A-Loozas:

Quarantine Clean: A (Slightly) Shorter Stack Of Books

Given their length, I never shared the earlier Comics And LP Cover Cavalcades at Pop-a-Looza; those older pieces were listed and linked here. The only other single-format Cavalcade piece--45 Single Sleeve Cavalcade # 1--was dedicated to memories of shopping at a Syracuse record store chain called Gerber Music. I wasn't sure if that piece was of sufficient general interest to share with Pop-A-Looza, so it only appeared here.

Now, it's time to make more! Next up will probably be a CD Cover Cavalcade dedicated to five CDs for which I wrote liner notes. Additional Cavalcades will follow eventually, spotlighting a seemingly endless array of comic books, 45s, LPs, paperbacks, rock magazines, trade paperbacks, music books, VH-S tapes, DVDs, hardcover books, coverless comic books, and whatever other pop graphics attract my fickle fancy.

But for the time being, we look at books. Paperback Cover Cavalcade # 1 serves proudly as the latest Boppin' Pop-A-Looza.
