With our 1100th show behind us, and our epic Christmas and year-end countdown shows looming next month, we're also looking ahead to a milestone show in January. Dana and I have been presenting this weekly little mutant program This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio for just about 23 years, but the first Dana & Carl radio shows date back to even before than that. January 15th, 2022 will mark the 30th anniversary of the pilot episode of our first shows as We're Your Friends For Now. So, on Sunday January 16th, we figure we'll mark our mystifying longevity with a special show called 30 YEARS OF DANA & CARL. From whatever the hell it was we did on We're Your Friends For Now through whatever the hell it is we do on TIRnRR, we're gonna celebrate the continued splendor of The Best Three Hours Of Radio On The Whole Friggin' Planet. Dana came up with a very cool and distinctive idea, and we're looking forward to invading your sovereign airspace on January 16th with 30 YEARS OF DANA & CARL.
In the mean time, though, EVERY episode of This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio is something special on the air. A glance at the playlist below provides evidence of what we do, and why we're still doing it. You want rock 'n' roll radio? We just happen to have some rock 'n' roll radio for you. Here's what that sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.
