In my interactions with people online, I often run into folks whose opinions differ from mine. Duh. Some exchanges are polite and respectful, and some are not. The following is just a list of my opinions.
The Beatles were the greatest rock 'n' roll group that ever existed.
Beatles VI is my all-time favorite album.
"Rain" is The Greatest Record Ever Made.
An infinite number of records can be The Greatest Record Ever Made, as long as they take turns.

The Monkees are long overdue for induction into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
If The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame had to be reduced to honoring one act only, that should be Chuck Berry. If it were three acts only, then it should be Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. Everyone else is an add-on, but there are so many important add-ons! I advocate a big tent.
The Ramones were a power pop band. Also a punk band, a rock 'n' roll band, and a bubblegum band.
The Beatles, The Ramones, and The Flashcubes really are my favorite groups, with The Monkees and The Kinks right up there with them.
I am a Liberal Democrat. Barack Obama was the greatest U.S. president of my lifetime; I'd have to go back to Dwight Eisenhower for second-greatest. I can't even stand to look at the national disgrace currently in office.
Vote blue, no matter who.
I'm not an atheist, nor really an agnostic. My faith is freelance. I don't know if there is a God. I believe we have an individual responsibility to be excellent to each other.
I still love superhero comic books. My all-time favorite superhero is Batman, followed by the original Captain Marvel. My favorite comics artist is either Nick Cardy or Neal Adams, but there are dozens more that I also love. My favorite comics writer is probably Steve Englehart.

My favorite live-action Superman was George Reeves. Yeah, Christopher Reeve was a perfect Man of Steel, but George Reeves was iconic.
Batman is my current favorite comic book series.
The comic book series I'd most like to see reprinted in a book collection is the 1980s Blackhawk, written by Mark Evanier and primarily drawn by the late Dan Spiegle. I'd also like to see Evanier and Spiegle's Crossfire on my bookshelf. A comprehensive reprint of Nicola Cuti and Joe Staton's E-Man would also be most welcome.
That Thing You Do! is my all-time favorite movie. Other favorites include A Hard Day's Night, It's A Wonderful Life, What's Up, Doc?, The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, Duck Soup (and a few other Marx Brothers flicks), Head, and many more. For all that, I'm not a film buff. I've never seen any of the Godfather films, nor 2001: A Space Odyssey, nor anything directed by Hitchcock.
My all-time favorite writer is the late Harlan Ellison. For this would-be writer, Ellison was my Beatles.
I love books. I don't like Kindle. I don't have one all-time favorite book. Maybe The Grapes Of Wrath. Maybe The Amazing Adventures Of Kavalier & Clay. My favorite genre is mystery, and my favorite mystery novelists are Max Allan Collins, Sara Paretsky, and the late Sue Grafton. I love pulp. I accumulate books at a far faster clip than I read them.
My all-time favorite TV series is The Monkees, but the current series The Good Place may yet replace it at my # 1 spot. Overall, Batman and The Monkees had the most pervasive and prevailing effect on me.
My interest in Syracuse University men's basketball is nearly equal to my interest in comic books and rock 'n' roll. I also follow SU football. Let's go, Orange!
My # 1 celebrity crush was Suzi Quatro.
I remain a fanboy at heart. I was thrilled to hear that Michael Chabon purchased a download of our 2017 compilation This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 4, and I'm giddy that I'm in contact with so many artists I've admired for years (even if it's only the tenuous contact of Facebook).
I like KISS. I like The Bay City Rollers. I like "Do The Freddie" by Freddie & the Dreamers. I don't believe in guilty pleasures. Dig what you dig. There's no reason to feel guilty about liking something just because others don't share the interest. No one tells me what I should like or dislike. No one.
