This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl is simply too large a concept to be neatly contained within a mere three-hour weekly time slot. Hence these occasional fake TIRnRR playlists, detailing shows we're never really going to do...but could.
Today we have a sequel of sorts to a previous fake TIRnRR playlist, which gathered tracks by acts I've never seen live, but which included at least one member I have seen perform under a different billing. This one gathers songs I've witnessed in a live setting, sung by the singer listed in brackets, regardless of who else was playing with him or her that day or night. For example, I've never seen the Beatles, but I've seen Paul McCartney sing "Helter Skelter."
And I've seen the Animals, Ramones, Kinks, Monkees, etc. Here's a playlist of songs I've seen in a live performance by the original lead singer, under whatever billing applied at the time. Each designated singer was from a different performance--for example, three different Monkees shows, plus a Micky Dolenz & Davy Jones show--so we're covering a lot of virtual ticket stubs here. Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise! The show is about to begin.
