Fake THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO Playlist: Artists With Two (Or More) Appearances On THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO Compilation CDs

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl is simply too large a concept to be neatly contained within a mere three-hour weekly time slot. Hence these occasional fake TIRnRR playlists, detailing shows we're never really going to do...but could.

Our fabulous new album This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 5 continues our undeniable legacy of slappin' together better'n decent compilations for your listening pleasure. Also for your PURCHASING pleasure, so get busy if you ain't gotten busy yet: buy the CD or buy the download, and don't forget to thank us for enriching the soundtrack of your life. You're welcome! Tell your friends.

Today's exercise in playlist fakery looks back on all five volumes, plus the benefit disc our friends assembled on our behalf, and the bonus disc packaged with Volume 3. The result is a three-hour virtual show of tracks from our CDs, performed by artists who appeared twice (or more).

The playlist skips a couple of artists--Sounds Like Digging and Gregg Yeti and the Best Lights--whose two TIRnRR compilation berths offered different versions of the same song ("Every Day" and "My Narcoleptic Sara," respectively). We combine a few acts--Anny Celsi and Annyland, 1.4.5. and the Richards, Kelley Ryan and astroPuppees--that were effectively the same stellar artist with morphing DBAs. We could have made a case for combining Maura and the Bright Lights with the Kennedys, but I'm satisfied with the playlist presented below.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 5 is the culmination of everything we've attempted to do with TIRnRR. We play the hits. And we play favorites. Here are a few of them.

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl--y'know, the real one--airs Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK!
