Each week, the pop culture website Pop-A-Looza shares some posts from my vast 'n' captivating Boppin' (Like The Hip Folks Do) archives. The latest shared post is another chapter from the storied pages of The Greatest Record Ever Made!, shining the ol' GREM! spotlight on "Gimme Gimme Good Lovin'" by Crazy Elephant.
Even before I decided to move this concept into a (still theoretical, but now in a finished draft) GREM! book, The Greatest Record Ever Made! began as a Boppin' blog series in late October of 2016, just over six years ago. The very first GREM! chapter was my 10/27/2016 celebration of "Baby Blue" by Badfinger. The Crazy Elephant chapter was the second, posting a mere two days after the Badfinger piece. Many, many more GREM! pieces would follow thereafter.
My long-threatened GREM! book remains in play, a completed draft with grandiose dreams of moving forward with a publisher. Gimme gimme good lovin'! An infinite number of tracks can each be THE greatest record ever made, as long as they take turns. Crazy Elephant's turn remains in the book's current blueprint, and it's the latest Boppin' Pop-A-Looza.
