This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl is simply too large a concept to be neatly contained within a mere three-hour weekly time slot. Hence these occasional fake TIRnRR playlists, detailing shows we're never really going to do...but could.
I lived in dorms on campus for the entirety of my college career. After graduating, rather than returning home, I stayed in my college town and got an apartment with my girlfriend, who was still an undergrad. It wasn't her first apartment, but it was my first.
We stayed in that apartment for just a little over two years. This fake playlist serves as a snapshot of my soundtrack during that time. These are all records I owned and played--a lot--when I was a freshly-minted Bachelor of Arts, with a diploma in my hand and a song in my heart. Old songs and (then-) new songs, here's a look back at a few of the many, many records I spun on my girlfriend's Sony turntable when I lived with her in my first apartment.
This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl--y'know, the real one--airs Sunday nights from 9 to Midnight Eastern, on the air in Syracuse at SPARK! WSPJ 103.3 and 93.7 FM, and on the web at westcottradio.org You can read all about this show's long and weird history here: Boppin' The Whole Friggin' Planet (The History Of THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO). TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS are always welcome.
The many fine This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio compilation albums are still available, each full of that rockin' pop sound you crave. A portion of all sales benefit our perpetually cash-strapped community radio project:
