We are hard at work...no, that ain't right. We're dancing! We're dancing to the sound of our forthcoming new compilation CD This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 5. Our goal is to have this available in September. That's where the work part comes in. The work at this end is primarily on the liner notes and acknowledgements; the mastering is being done by the mighty Kurt Reil at his forbiddingly cool House of Vibes studio. Yeah, our hardly-humble little concoction is being perfected at the same place where the Grip Weeds, Mark Lindsay, Buzzed Meg, the Anderson Council, the Doughboys, and so many others have created such brilliant rockin' pop sounds. A great radio show--and its attendant compilation album--should be known by the company it keeps.
Kurt now has the master tracks in hand. The CD will be released by the also-mighty Ray Gianchetti's fab label Kool Kat Musik, which has been the home for TIRnRR CDs since Volume 3 in 2013. For the first time anywhere, we present the track listing and sequence for This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 5.

I've listened to a rough mix of the CD in its entirety. Maybe more than once. It's really, really good. That's not so much a tribute to us as it is a reflection of our good fortune to know so many talented artists who are willing to share their wonderful work on our behalf.
Of our previous CDs, only Volume 4 and the Waterloo Sunset benefit set are still available in physical form from the label (though I do have copies of Volume 2 for sale). All are available digitally. We should probably look into reissuing the long-out-of-print Volume 1 one if these days.
Now...back to the dance! And to the work. Work should be fun. This kind work sure is.
