This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl is simply too large a concept to be neatly contained within a mere three-hour weekly time slot. Hence these occasional fake TIRnRR playlists, detailing shows we're never really going to do...but could.
These fake TIRnRR playlists often veer into the realm of shows that we couldn't ever really do. Rules dictating limits of how much we're allowed to play from one resource in a single show prevent us from doing, say, another all-Kinks show, and the rules would preclude us from executing the playlist you see below. Plus, the playlist is too long for our three-hour time slot.
But this fake playlist does have an imminent material implication. Can't tell you about it just yet, though we were pretty blunt in our hints about it in this week's real-world TIRnRR. For now, follow the mystery thread. Mind you, the final long set, the last two tracks in the next-to-last set, and the bonus track at the very end--everything from Irene Peña on--break the thread. But they offer another tentative clue for you all. And all will be revealed soon enough.
Like, on Thursday.
