This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 827

We live in a world of plenty!  This week's veritable treasure trove of new releases includes great stuff from Michael Carpenter & the Cuban Heels (farewell album Ain't Nothing Left To Say, now on Bandcamp), Gary Ritchie (new album pop-ti-mis-tic, out now), Arvidson & Butterflies (fab enponymous debut, so jeez louise, get to http://www.koolkatmusik.com/ and place your order awready!), The Outryders (new single!), and another new track from The Monkees!  Oh, and looking ahead a bit:  that new album by The Monkees, Good Times!, will be out this Friday.  We are honoring the label's embargo on the as-yet-unreleased tracks, but we've heard the entire standard album, and it's just terrific.  Can't wait to play you some more of it...next week!  For now, this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.

Oh, and meanwhile:  BRIGHT LIGHTS!  Tickets for our July 3rd Syracuse New Wave Rock 'n' Roll Reunion are now on sale.  This a smaller venue than last time, and a sold-out show is VERY possible. Plan ahead!  Tom Kenny!  The Flashcubes!  Screen Test!  The Trend!  The Dead Ducks!  Maura & the Bright Lights!  And a tribute to Norm Mattice, performed by The Richards!  Your hosts are Dana & Carl, and the show starts promptly at 7 pm, Funk N' Waffles Downtown, 307-313 S. Clinton Street in Syracuse.  You wanna visit here:  https://funknwaffles.ticketfly.com/event/1195607-bright-lights-syracuse-new-syracuse/   Buy 'em early, buy 'em often, but buy BRIGHT LIGHTS!

This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl streams live every Sunday night from 9 to Midnight Eastern, exclusively at www.westcottradio.org
