The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis (DC Comics) # 19

From 1963, here's The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis # 19. This is the fourth and final scan I have available from the 26-issue run of the DC Comics series based on the hit TV sitcom starring Dwayne Hickman and Bob Denver, the latter actor soon to attain pop culture immortality as Gilligan on Gilligan's Island. (And a random thought occurs to me: how would girl-crazy Dobie have reacted in the presence of Mary Ann Summers or Ginger Grant? HA! Ya think the question of Ginger or Mary Ann was a problem for us...? Though it does make me wish artist Bob Oksner had the opportunity to render these lovely characters in a Gilligan's Island comic book.)

The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis (DC Comics) # 17

Here's another issue of DC Comics' early '60s humor series based on The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis, the TV sitcom starring Dwayne Hickman as the puppy-eyed Dobie and a pre-Gilligan's Island Bob Denver as Dobie's beatnik best bud Maynard G. Krebs. The cover sure looks like the work of artist Bob Oksner, but the interior art...I dunno. There are elements--a lot of elements--of Oksner's style, and Ms. Dolly Madison Van Buren--Vive le history!--certainly possesses the prerequisite cute 'n' sexy look of an Oksner girl. But something seem off. Is it Oksner working with a different inker? A rush job by Oksner? A different artist entirely? Just my imagination runnin' away with me? I'd love to hear opinions from folks who know this stuff better than your humble bloggin' dilettante does.
