UPDATE: THIS IS ROCK 'N' ROLL RADIO, Volume 4

We're pleased to publicly announce the participation of The Smithereens and The Bottle Kids on our forthcoming compilation CD This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 4. Dana and I have scheduled a June mastering date at Syracuse's mighty SubCat Music Studios, with the hope of a summer release on the always-swell Kool Kat Musik label. Everything is going according to plan! Now, all that stands between us and total world domination is that accursed Captain Marvel, and we'll deal with that Big Red Cheese soon enough! Heh, heh, heh, heh!

(Oops--sorry! Thought I was the evil Dr. Sivana for a second there. Carry on...!)

Although there are still a couple of elements to be finalized behind the scenes, here is the current public list of contributors and tracks to This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio, Volume 4:

1.4.5.: Your Own World
THE BOTTLE KIDS: Let Me In On This Action
PAUL COLLINS BEAT: Falling In Love With Her
THE FLASHCUBES: No Promise
THE GRIP WEEDS: Strange Bird
THE LEGAL MATTERS: Don't Look Back
CIRCE LINK & CHRISTIAN NESMITH: I'm On Your Side
MAURA & THE BRIGHT LIGHTS: Maybe Someday
MR. ENCRYPTO & THE CYPHERS: Home On The Radio
LISA MYCHOLS: Almost Didn't Happen
MICHAEL OLIVER & THE SACRED BAND, FEAT. DAVE MERRITT: You Won't Do

IRENE PENA: Must've Been Good
POP CO-OP: You Don't Love Me Anymore
POPDUDES: She Is Funny (In That Way)
THE RUBINOOS: Nowheresville
THE RULERS: I Want My Ramones Records Back
THE SLAPBACKS: Make Something Happen
THE SMITHEREENS: Got Me A Girl
VEGAS WITH RANDOLPH: TBD
CHRIS VON SNEIDERN: TBD

This list is almost complete, and we'll announce the final line-up soon. One other TIRnRR Fave Rave will appear on one of the above tracks, collaborating with another TIRnRR Fave Rave, but we're not yet at liberty to say any more about that.

While you're waiting for this must-have, you can still catch up on the three previous TIRnRR treasure troves. Physical copies of Volume 1 are sold out, so you're at the tender mercy of the collectors' market there. BUT! It is available as an officially-sanctioned download from the good folks at Futureman Records, with all proceeds going to benefit our community radio home at Spark Syracuse. Physical copies of Volume 2 are available from CD Baby, or you can email me at ccdatsme@aol.com, or download from Futureman right here. And Volume 3? Get it from our label, Kool Kat Musik. Futureman will also begin offering downloads of Volume 3 in the very near future.

Wanna hear some of these songs? We'll be playing a few of them Sunday night on This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio with Dana & Carl, streaming live from Syracuse at 9 pm Eastern on www.westcottradio.org And there'll be lots more hype yet to come.
