This Is Rock 'n' Roll Radio # 913

Reet magazine, the new on-line rock and/or skewed reality read everyone's been waitin' to embrace or ignore as their senseless whims compel them, launches today! This latest nefarious scheme to control your emotions and make 'em dance comes courtesy of Devorah Ostrov and the legendary John Mendelssohn, and frankly it's about as close to a new issue of Creem as you can get in 2018. Plus, it's got ME!, reminiscing about how I discovered the music of Buddy Holly when I was an eight grader in the early '70s. All this, and David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lenny Kaye, Aerosmith, Angelyne, Philippe Marcade, cheap wine, goth music, the birth of punk in L.A., and the sweet, arresting aroma of what-the-holy-heck-was-THAT?! (I'm still hoping we'll all have a chance to stuff the ballot box on behalf of  Suzi Quatro as ginchiest rock chick ever, but I'm just a lowly stringer.) BUT NO MATTER! You're right to read Reet! Let's see what Dev sez:

Today's the day we've all been waiting for! REET - the online pop culture magazine - is here! In this issue: Brenda kisses Iggy Pop! Devorah & Michelle hang out with Steven Tyler! John befriends David Bowie and has dinner with Angelyne! Carl discovers Buddy Holly! Lenny Kaye reveals a secret about Nuggets! Thomas makes a long-distance phone call to Philippe MarcadeAndy taste-tests cheap wine! Elizabeth stays inside & listens to goth music! Don't trample each other in your rush to read the first issue...

You have your orders! Ready, steady...REET!https://reetmag.wixsite.com/reetmag

Meanwhile, we got a radio show. A good radio show, with new music from Steve Barton, Spygenius, Josh Isn't, P76, The Armoires, Ken Sharp, The Well Wishers, Plasticsoul, Southport Johnny & the Bizness, and Whiteside's Daughter, aided and abetted by whatever the hell else it is we do here. Don't ask me; I was a legacy hire. READ REET! And this is what rock 'n' roll radio sounded like on a Sunday night in Syracuse this week.
