I've done a few previous posts about past TV series that I've seen (both complete series and random episodes), and even a post about some well-known programs I have never seen at all. I haven't talked much about the current TV series that I'm following.
There...aren't many of them. There are, in fact, but six. And at the moment, they're all on hiatus.
But these are the six. The list excludes the many game shows I watch (Jeopardy!, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, The Floor, The 1 % Club, The Quiz With Balls, Beat Shazam, The Weakest Link, Name That Tune, Don't Forget The Lyrics) and my one reality-ish competition show (American Idol). Oh, and local talk show Bridge Street. The list only includes the six current scripted TV series that I watch.
The Bear
Daredevil: Born Again
Man On The Inside
Nobody Wants This
Peacemaker
Poker Face
Short list, but it's a short list of shows I enjoy (though I'm iffy on Peacemaker). Poker Face is a recent discovery for me, and I watched its two seasons in short order. It has not yet been officially renewed for another season, but here's hopin'. The other five are confirmed, and I'm looking forward to more of each.
In the mean time, though, The Bear is actually an even more recent discovery than Poker Face. At this point I've only seen a few episodes of its first season, so I do have something I can binge in the here and now.
There was also The Z-Suite, a 2025 comedy starring Laura Graham. It streamed on Tubi, I watched its entire first season, but I've gotta admit it never quite grabbed me to the extent I wanted it to grab me. I have not heard if it's coming back for a second season; if it does return, I'm not sure whether or not I'll bother with it. Won't rule it out. I'm presuming HBO Max's The Penguin does not have a current plan for a second season.
Oh, and The Bear, Man On The Inside, and Nobody Wants This are TV shows that Brenda and I enjoy watching together; Daredevil, Peacemaker, and Poker Face are (more than) a bit too violent for Brenda's taste.
I'm bummed that there's no network TV on this list. This Is Us and Superman And Lois may wind up being the last two broadcast shows I ever follow. Don't touch that dial? Well, sometimes ya gotta change the channel, man.
