The long threat is idle no more.
After an endless string of promises and maybes, my book The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1) will be published in July by my own imprint Syracuse Noise. Exact date will be announced soon.
The culmination of many years' work, The Greatest Record Ever Made! (Volume 1) will be available as a 5.5 " x 8.5 " paperback of a little under 500 pages (projected price around $29.99) and as an ebook ($9.99). The book will be offered through all outlets. I will provide more details as I nail 'em in place.
Formatting the book was initially a struggle, but it got easier and I'm more than satisfied with the result. The text still needs one more complete proofread, and some behind-the-scenes stuff still needs to be settled. But the book is coming, and its arrival is imminent.
In preparation, I have removed a number of individual GREM! posts from this blog. I don't think it's necessary, but Amazon is one of the means by which the book will be offered, and Amazon expressly discourages having large sections of a book it's selling available for free elsewhere. Fair enough. I'm leaving just a few in place, and also (of course) allowing other GREM! chapters that don't appear in the book to bop on as they are.
I have lined up my first publicity appearance on the book's behalf, with a planned July 17th guest spot on Bridge Street, the weekday morning TV talk show that airs from 10:00 to 11:00 on Syracuse's NewsChannel 9. I hope to schedule more. If you have an outlet that would like to cast a spotlight on my GREM! book, I'm available, my friends. I'm available.
That's it for now. I have a lot of work to do, but--at long last--it is all finally coming together. Like my back cover says: The infinite awaits. It's our turn now.
